August 13 (Sunday) Seoul, Sangbong Inter-city Bus Terminal Take the bus from Seoul to Sokch'o, in the northeast. Afternoon: from Sokch'o into Sôraksan National Park. Leave bags in a yôgwon and go into the mountains. See Ulsan Rock. Sôraksan National Park (or in Sokch'o)

August 15 (Tuesday) Sôraksan Travel south along the coast to Kyôngju by bus. In Kyôngju, see Pulguksa (temple), Sôkguram (stone Buddha), and the Tumuli Park. Kyôngju
August 16 (Wednesday) Kyôngju Hike in Kyôngju Namsan Park. Lots of historical sites to choose from - an old fortress, tombs, a few small temples, many stone pagodas, scattered statues. This place is really nice! Kyôngju
August 17 (Thursday) Kyôngju Bus travel. Not sure how long it will take; if there is time, see the Korean War POW camp museum on Kôjedo or the coast. Kôjedo Island, T'ongyông city
August 18 (Friday) T'ongyông Visit Oedo island. Supposed to be very beautiful; you can swim, but I'm not sure where we would put our luggage. Pusan
August 19 (Saturday) Pusan See something in Pusan. There are a few temples, or we could see the city (Possibly a city hike to the southeast corner of Yôngdo Island, which has a park and a nice view.) Take the train from Pusan to Sangju. I will need to go to the immigration office in Taegu (on the way) to get my visa extended by all of 2 days. Have dinner with the minister in Sangju. Sangju
August 20 (Sunday) Sangju Church, See things in and around Sangju - my minister has offered to take the church van and show us around if possible. We might go to Munkyông Sejae, where there are a few re-constructed palaces, and old fortress gates. Or possibly to Songnisan National Park. Sangju
August 21 (Monday) Sangju In the morning, possibly see Hahoe Maûl folk village. Take bus or train to Suwôn. See the folk village in Suwon. Seoul
August 22 (Tuesday) Seoul Departure. Fly out of Kim'po airport, 10:30 am

All of this can change, if you've got any suggestions.

Korean names: I've tried to be consistent, except for Seoul. If you can't match any of the place names to what's in your book, let me know - there are lots of different transliterations. If your book is different, you may need to change my t, p, k, and ch into d, b, g, and j respectively (but don't change t', p', k', or ch'.) Then possibly change ô and û to eo and eu respectively. You can also see the Korean names I used in Han'gûl below.
