Black Bean Dip

Boil the black beans until tender. Combine onions, garlic, dill, basil, pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl and add the lemon juice. Stir, then add the beans and put the whole mixture into a blender. Blend until finely puréed.

Serve on fresh bread, whole-wheat crackers, or as an hors d'oeuvre.
