Brownies

Ingredients
- 2 1/3 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions
- Mix 1/3 cup clour with the water in a pan. Cook until thick,
stirring constantly, and cool completely.
- Melt the margarine and stir in the cocoa powder.
- Beat sugar, salt, and vanilla into the flour mixture, then add the
cocoa mixture.
- Add the above mixture to the rest of the flour and the baking
powder, sifted together. You can then add the nuts, if desired.
- Bake in a 9''x13'' pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
